The Collaboration hosted its 8th Annual Symposium: "We Can Work It Out — Promoting Social-Emotional Competence in Young Children" on February 26, 2011. Nearly 350 people were in attendence to explore the topic which underscores the importance of encouraging children's capacity to learn and grow, socially and emotionally. The ability to develop positive relationships with otheres, identify, express and manage emotions, and develop a positive self concept, enables children to learn and experience success in school and life.
